Dr Lesley Day is a research scientist with qualifications in public health, specialising in injury prevention. She has experience and expertise in injury epidemiology, surveillance, data collection and analysis, and the design and evaluation of injury interventions. Current and recent rural injury projects include non-fatal farm injury, tractor injury, evaluation of Farmsafe Australia's "Managing Farm Safety" training program, evaluation of farm injury prevention in Victoria and evaluation of the WorkCover Authority's tractor roll over protective structure systems rebate scheme. Dr Day is a member of the Farmsafe Victoria Committee. Current falls prevention projects include a randomised controlled trial of three falls prevention interventions in collaboration with the City of Whitehorse.
